Your Resume as a Blog

Krzysztof Kowalczyk (I love his motto: "Blog or you'll be blogged.") suggests that a focused, balanced blog (or k-log, or blog category, or RSS feed, etc.) could be used as a dynamic resume, one that will be much more impressive in retrospect than a dry recitation of skills in a tradition flat resume:

Keep a log of all the stuff you're learning and doing. e.g. if today you wrote a 5k lines perl script that spiders the web and extracts interesting info, you would add to your log a dated entry:

Finished 5k line Perl script to spider the web. Used LWP::Simple module

...

Of course you should start now, the day you're out of work is probably a few years late.

Think I'll set up a resume category today.

Follow up on Dean and software: Dana Blankenhorn has written a long reply to Dave's criticism of the Dean campaign, and I'm still a little confused. Is it that the Dean team should not feel free to develop and promulgate technical solutions to their own specific problems? How is that different from any sovereign entity doing so?... (Products)
What software is Dean selling?: Where did Dave get the cockamamie idea that Howard Dean is in the software business? Is it based on the modified version of the open-source Drupal CMS called DeanSpace that some Dean supporters are distributing for free to encourage people to build sites for Dean that will generate and aggregate RSS... Seybold schedule update: It appears my WOW mini-session on RSS, RDF, syndication, and content dissemination is being rescheduled. The new timeslot is Thursday, September 11, from 2:30 - 3:00 pm. My bad. My session on syndication was not rescheduled. It is still on Tuesday, September 9, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. What was rescheduled... (Weblog Concepts)
