OK, so now I have the 3-column structure in place. The real craziness has begun.

I am not sure if I like this one. I personally think it is too "bloggy".

Next try, it will have both columns on the same side with boxed-in sections. i want to add archive pages for each author, so tabs or drop-downs would have to go in there somewhere.

XIAN, do we have to have so many entries for each section? I whittled the blog entries from 17 to 10. Can we so for the "Recent entries" and what not?

I'm hoping I can have something up for the new year.

BTW: This is coded so that each column is the same size. I have background images on the side cols. I may need some tweaking because it does not fully wrap. Still, the color of the columns can be changed and we would still have 3 even columns. also, i can put a footer in there.

There are some funky layout effects in Mozilla. Weird margins inside the main area.

As for number of entries per section, I'm easy. They don't have to be so many. I do like long lists of recent entries. Also, I like non-decimal numbers. Prefer 12 to 10, for instance. And 17 is one of my favorites, but ok not to use.
