Six Apart changes their licensing scheme

Six Log: Announcing Pricing & Licensing Changes to Movable Type

Personal Edition ($69.95):
Up to 5 authors and an unlimited number of weblogs for personal use. This license has been improved allowing the creation of unlimited weblogs.

The changes they made look reasonable and appropriate for a proprietary piece of software that was marketed in the spirit of the open-source movement. Still, the question remains, does it make to sense to any advocate of free online (and maybe offline) culture to use a proprietary product after all?

My preliminary take on it? No.
