Tony Pierce's 'How to Blog'

Tony, whom I finally got a chance to meet at SXSW this year (and who's as funny and personable in person as his online presence would imply) published this list of advices on blogging in his tonypierce.com busblog last year.

He's now got a book out with the same title from Café Press and I've got to get me a copy to review here. Something tells me that publishing experiments like Café Press are poised to eat New York book publishing's complacent lunch.

Hi Christian. I've been reading Ron Silliman's blog recently "A Weblog focused on contemporary poetry and poetics". I recommend it. Coming to NYC anytime soon? - G.S.

Nanopub metaconsciousness: Jason Calacanis is annoyed with Duncan Riley at Weblog Hype The Blog Herald for stiffing Weblogsinc Network (WIN) in his news coverage, particularly during this recent wave of news about the nanopublishing war between Calacanis's WIN and Denton's Gawker Media.... Curious about the Well?: Let me take a cue from Bruce Umbaugh and extend this invitation to our readers here: Friends are invited to join The WELL: The WELL, one of the most cherished and original online social gathering places, has engaged, informed, enraged and transformed people from around the globe since 1985. Mac view of my Linux server: Silly me, I just realized I could connect to my remote web host directly as a server and then thumb through the site in the OS X interface. This should be obvious but I just put two and two together.... (Best Practices)
Here's a job for the x-ism blog: RFB’s focus has been drifting and to give it coherence, besides just becoming an RSS aggregator of my other feeds, I think I’ll go back to trying to document my PEP (personal expression platform) project there, including some organizational stuff, some IA ideas, but first, mostly a bunch of scans of...
